Just came back from London. London was great but on the way back to Lyon, I felt a little sad which I attribute to home sickness. =( Oh well, I just have to get over it.

And it's not fair, not fair. Just saw this on Jojo's blog. My silly family..they all wore the same t shirt on cny eve! Me leh.. wahah..bet you guys had lots of fun over the cny period..wished i was there..Bah..





And yes my dearest pretty little sister, I miss you a lot too..!Muaks Muaks, enjoy your final year in tk kay kay.really sec school years are the best! Eh.. why did you have to put such an ugly photo of me on your blog mahz..tsk tsk..i shall be nice a put a nice one of you here..humph.

Hello,
I'll be brief because mah...I'm sick of blogging.waha!

Changing of Guards (Buckingham Palace)
Ehh...I was expecting to see the guards in their full-dress uniform of red tunics and bearskins but then so sad..they were in their winter uniform or something..Boohoo...so irritating. But nevertheless, I'm still glad i went..all the pomp and circumstance..=)

They seal the place until 10 Downing street is like totally cannot see de. So i took the sigh instead. Ha!


Westminister Abbey. Sigh, I didn't go in there because the stupid entrance fee is like 50 sing of sth. Grr..i thought it's a place for worshiping or sth de.


And then being Singaporean, when i saw this long line outside this fish and chip store, aha.time to queue. And then i carried my big package (is really HUMOUGOUS) to the nearby Hyde park and sat beside the lake but seriously the food was more interesting.


What's next..? Oh yes..the British Museum..! Ooh la la...But i was seriously thinking how nice it would be if Jojo was there..then we can high together..soo many Egyptian artifacts..drools..ohoh..and i saw the Rosetta stone!


omg..the British Museum library. books and books all around you..from floor to ceiling..360 degrees around you..oh gosh.


And then to Harrods to take photos of bags for some ahem ..mafan misses..and omg..the food halls are Fantastic..

Sigh, don't talk about day 2 man. We woke up late afternoon, and by the time I got out of the house, it was like 4 sth in the afternoon. Obviously, everything was about to close..

So i went to visit the famous tate museum but it didn't take me long since it was on modern art.hee..

Bonjour tout le monde,

I am dreading making this post because it will take soooo long.

Tick Tock Tick Tock.

Yupz yupz, I went to London! Miss Cynthia was very kind so I stayed at her place. =)) ( Thanks a lot!). I was so tempted to steal her comforter but I had a feeling she would run after me back to France just to get it back. Sigh. Anyway, it was real good meeting her again, especially because of her recent?? acquired cooking skills. Ahaahah..Anyway, really thanks! =)

London was a real delight. Perhaps because I was finally in a place where I could comprehend things. I could eavesdrop other’s conversation, read the signboards overhead, ask for directions with ease. Naturally, I felt very comfortable in that place. Although I was mostly traveling alone , I enjoyed being a bystander, watching daily life unfold around me, watching quietly as the world go by. I like the hustle and bustle of the city- the theatres, the free papers, the 24 hrs transportation, the chaotic streets etc etc..overall, it’s a very fine city. 5 stars!

Day 1
In the shuttle bus on the way to Victoria street to meet Miss Cynthia, I was still surrounded by the French- a young college couple snogging in the seat in front of me, oblivious to the world around them; beside me, two middle aged but rather attractive women engaging in a gossiping battle…Everytime a monument comes into sight, no matter how far, an uproar follows within split seconds The French aunties would go oooohhhh and ahhhh, or sometimes their more famous ooh la la... and there were those who had spotted it smirking while trying to show their luckless companion where the little tiny thing was, but usually poofff..and it was gone.

In the evening, I had a meal of roasted duck rice in Chinatown. The Chinatown in London may not the best in the world, but it’s still pretty amazing other than it’s a little touristy and I had the constant feeling I was an exhibit piece.





And then I went to watch a musical. Les Miserable to be exact. Marietta, during our msn conversation, was like must watch musical, must watch must watch! Voila, and so I went. And now I just can’t stop humming…

Besançon

Hello dudes,

Im here to post some photos on the weekend in Besançon. My friend's friend's friend was very kind to host us and in the end WJ, Hou Yang Yi and I even slept on the two mattresses while our wonderful host slept on the bed rack. So nice right!

Anyway, Besançon is rather small but beautiful place. From here, it takes about 2-3 hours? by TGV( high speed train). I had another relaxing weekend. =)))We walked for hours along the river, on the grass plain but surprisingly, it was very enjoyable (because I didn't have backache!). A very nice break from all the hustle and bustle of city life.







I fell in love with the castle by the river that looked like it's from a fairy tale. (right at the back of the photo) The picture simply does no justice to the place. But sigh, I dont have any better ones..

Chinese New Year

Dear Ah Gong, Daddy, Mummy, sisters, auntie, family and friends(like writing speech sia),

To all my beloved ones, a very Happy Lunar New year to you..! Its Chinese New Year again. That means lots of weight to gain, lots of money to win (Swim Swim!), hong baos to take (Hheeeee!), lots of gossips to catch up with, lots of new clothes to squeeze into etc etc. Haha, oh well, so let your hair down and start celebrating kay!

And yes yes, I know Mr Piglet,stop whispering in my ears, I know it's the PIG Year. Roll eyes. But Mr Feng Shui Master says that horhz

Waha..No wonder every time you come close to me, my left eye twitches. Pig means trouble!

Enough teasing the pig.

Chinese New Year away from home was a new experience for me . My first actually. I was contemplating between joining the Singaporeans for reunion dinner or the Chinese. But since I was already away from home, no matter how i try to be at home, I would still feel away from home, and so I decided to go with the Chinese and try something new.

Instead of the steamboat dinner that I usually have on new year's eve, we had dumplings (餃子, 餃子!) Seriously, if i had anything other than steamboat or jiaozi that night, I would have be devastated.

Sadly, I think I was the only one who had no experience in the kitchen, but I did try to help out. =P The whole process was a long, tedious and tiring process. We had to knead the dough till it was smooth. Too hard and the dumplings couldnt be sealed, Too soft and the skin would break. Divide the dough into countless pieces, flatten them and roll each piece out into a circle. Prepare the fillings of soy sauce, hua tiao jiu, meat, celery etc. Place the fillings into each of the wrapper, sealed it in all the fancy ways. Boil it. Phew...

But all the hard work made the dumplings even tastier. I must have eaten a whole plate of dumplings all by myself. Hey hey the dumplings were small kay. Dousing it in the vinegar-ginger-soy sauce-chilli dip, biting into it gingerly, slurping in the dumpling juice before devouring it ..what more can I ask for?
