Hello,
It’s official. I have adopted a Beijing accent.
Arghh…I think I adopted it from wang jing, one of the girls I always eat with during lunch. I always laugh whenever I hear Singaporeans having those weird accents and now I’m going to be laughed at. It’s not that I want to, but when you start from gound zero, since I totally cannot finish a full sentence without adding some English words in it before coming here, and all you can learn from are people from china, you naturally pick that up too ma..! Yesterday, at lunch, I was busy trying to speak Chinese the way Singaporeans do, but ehhh…how do Singaporeans speak chinese? It completely slipped my mind. I’m not even sure now if there such a thing, the Singaporean accent.
I’m really a confused soul now. Bah…educate me.
